Sleep & airway conditions we treat in Glen Allen, VA
From sleep apnea to snoring to airway issues in kids and adults, here's a plain-language look at the sleep problems we screen for and treat.

Updated October 2026
A-Z Sleep & Airway Center in Glen Allen treats obstructive sleep apnea, upper airway resistance syndrome and snoring in adults, and sees children with sleep and airway concerns. Dr. Ashlee Goodman-Tabari works alongside your sleep physician and your other doctors, so your care stays coordinated from your first test onward.
The cost of treating a sleep or airway condition depends on what your sleep study shows and the treatment that fits your diagnosis. Snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea are often treated with a custom oral appliance, while severe sleep apnea may call for CPAP, sometimes alongside an appliance. The testing you need and the number of follow-up visits also play a part. We'll go over insurance and payment options with you and give you an exact quote at your consultation. The sleep and airway problems we help with
Not sure whether your symptoms point to sleep apnea or something else? These pages walk through the conditions we see most, in adults and children, so you can understand what might be affecting your sleep and how treatment can help.
Start with the question on your mind
How we approach sleep and airway problems
Sleep problems rarely show up with a clear label. You might feel exhausted, foggy or anxious, wake with headaches, or hear from a partner that you snore or gasp at night. Our job is to help you find out what is behind it and what to do next.
When your symptoms don't add up
Many patients have been tired for years and have been told everything looks fine. Some have upper airway resistance syndrome, where the airway narrows enough to disturb sleep without fully stopping breathing, so it is easy to miss. Dr. Goodman-Tabari treats her own UARS with an oral appliance, and she looks for it carefully.
Testing that gives you a real answer
Every treatment plan starts with a sleep study. Ours happens at home in your own bed, and a sleep physician reads the results and makes the diagnosis. That tells us whether you are dealing with snoring, obstructive sleep apnea or another airway problem, and how significant it is.
Treatment matched to the diagnosis
For snoring and for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, a custom oral appliance is often the answer. For severe sleep apnea, CPAP may be the best choice, sometimes alongside an oral appliance. We work with your sleep physician to find the treatment you will actually use every night.
Care for children, too
Sleep and airway problems are not only an adult concern. We see children, generally from around age six, when parents notice snoring, mouth breathing, restless sleep or trouble focusing. Testing is done at home, and we coordinate with your child's pediatrician.
Connected with your other doctors
Sleep affects your whole health, so we keep your primary care doctor, sleep physician and other specialists informed. Your diagnosis, treatment and follow-up stay connected, and you never have to relay information between offices yourself.
