Sleep Apnea Screening
Wondering whether your snoring or the tiredness you can't shake could be sleep apnea? Answer a few yes-or-no questions about your sleep and health, send them to us, and our team will reach out to talk through what your answers mean for you.
This screening is based on the STOP-BANG questionnaire, a short set of questions doctors use to spot the risk of obstructive sleep apnea: snoring, daytime tiredness, breathing pauses someone has noticed, high blood pressure, age, neck size, body weight and sex. It only takes a few minutes, and it's a first look, not a diagnosis. A sleep physician makes the diagnosis after a sleep test.

What happens next
- 1
Reviewing your answers together
Our team looks over your screening and reaches out to talk through what it shows, and whether a sleep test makes sense for you.
- 2
Testing at home, in your own bed
When a test makes sense, we can often get you set up in a matter of days. The WatchPAT and its small finger ring are easy to use, link to your phone, and never strap you up in wires.

Answers from a sleep physician
A sleep physician goes over your results with you in a telemedicine visit, and we coordinate every step from there, including treatment if you need it.
Questions about the screening
Is an online sleep apnea screening a diagnosis?
No. A screening shows whether your answers point toward a higher risk of obstructive sleep apnea, so you know whether it's worth testing. Only a sleep physician can diagnose sleep apnea, and that happens after a sleep test, which we can arrange for you at home.
Who should take this screening?
Anyone who snores loudly, wakes up tired even after a full night in bed, has been told they stop breathing or gasp in their sleep, or has high blood pressure. If any of those sound like you, the screening is a quick way to see whether a sleep test is your next step.
What happens after I send my answers?
Our team reviews your screening and reaches out to talk through what it means for you. If a sleep test makes sense, we arrange a home sleep test and a telemedicine visit with a sleep physician, and we coordinate every step from there.
How is this different from the Sleep Apnea Risk Check?
The Sleep Apnea Risk Check measures one thing, how sleepy you are during the day, and shows you a score. This screening looks at the wider set of risk factors for sleep apnea, like snoring, blood pressure and neck size, and goes to our team to review with you.
Will my insurance cover a sleep test?
Sleep testing and sleep apnea treatment are medical services, so they run through your medical insurance, including Medicare, not your dental plan. We verify your benefits before anything begins and walk you through what to expect.
